hi there
aberdeen is a traditional university, which means it is anything close to 400 years old i, makes it one of the oldest in uk. abderdeen takes freshers for mba, there program is not accredated by top mba accredations like amba, aacsb and equis, but ofcourse the school is good quality one, reputation, and ur degree would be a valid one,but u will study with freshers mostly

robert gordon is a modern university, it started only in 1991 i guess, they dont take freshers at all, there mba program is accredated by amba, there were ranked number 1 modern uni is uk i guess,

both the uni's have good reputation,

if i was you i wouldn have taken any of the two, i have my personal reason like, i like aberdeen as it is 400 year old uni but it have none of accredation and i like robert gordon for amba but it is hardly 20 years old uni, so both dont fit for me

hope this helps

Nice post by sahibzada!!
Just to add here and say that you did not mention what you consider specializing and if? For example RGU offers one of the most unique specialization in the Oil industry, there are not many MBA's offering this one!!! Just a hint ! ;)

thank you papas for your feedback

honestly speaking, i think aberdeen has variety of mba's , i dont know about rgu,

but let me tell you, if you are doing mba from a good school, they just have a single mba, specializing only comes in your 3 sem

so if i ever had to to do mba, i dont have to worry about specializing till i get into 3rd sem and yes few schools hav mba custom made only for specific industry, like mentioned by you, if it suits your profile, go ahead

cheers ^_^

Hi first of all it is not a college...it is University. Regarding placement opportunities it is something subjective...I suggest you to feel free and ask the Course Leader ;)

Which out these two is good for a Business related MSc ?

If Aberdeen accepts freshers for an MBA, then I doubt they'll have a large number of students for the business related MSc programmes.

If u r going for reputation, go for 'Aberdeen'
If placements is ur prime concern...plz don't go for either!

both r good schools, you can say tier 2 schools

if ur fresher go for aberdeen, as it is one of the only schools which takes freshers for mba,

robert gordon, is a new uni,has good reputation..

placement, is upto ur profile, u can get placed with any school, "what sells is you" not ur school profile., if ur not from tier-1 B-schools

hope this helps

Hi folks most of the Unis in Scotland are above the average in reputation and quality from the rest of the UK ones.
So any decision should be made on personal perspective...it depend what you want?

@Sukhi:
Dundee is a reputed University! It's a good city to live! Overall expenses will be very less! However it's MBA is not in the top bracket! At the most it is above average!
Neither bad nor that great!
