I have 3 years of experience in Sales in a stafffing company in India. I am planning to do my MBA (marketing) in 2010.

I wanted some information about post MBA jobs in marketing?

hard to say really. i reckon everything can change witht he economy by the time your done with that mba, what in 2011 or 2012. if you get into a decent program they should help connect you to the jobs or employers in the field. watch out becuase all the schools all say they are well connected.

try to talk to alumni that have jobs now, i guess. that's what I do anyway.

As I stay in India, which is the best place on the internet to get in touch with the Alumni? ( i have tried facebook/orkut groups which don't work).

think you should call/email the school and they will sort you out with some contacts to current students, yeah?

best schools for marketing? sorry. no clue, mate. think the famous one is northwestern but there must be dozens of good ones

Thats a great idea! I will definetely get in touch with the schools. I am sure I will get a lot of information by doing this but don't you think they will connect me to somebody who is biased.

they might try, but i doubt it if its a good school. i reckon most students dont work on commission.

try to get honest answers. most people will be honest with you about their experience. you will probably be able to tell if they arent. try to get someone in their second year too. otherwise lots of students are just starting out now on their first year so they wont have much to say yet at all.

Oxford and Imperial business schools connected me to 3-4 aluminis from my background ..it really helped...got a lot of insight
