I have an international oil&gas experience and currently look for a MBA School in Europe in which Oil &Gas Companies are mostly interested. Do you know any European MBA School in which companies like Shell, BP, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Repsol, prefer to hire?

What about the top BS like Warwick, RSM, INSEAD, IMD or HEC? The point is that I''d like to keep involved in the oil& gas idustry after MBA and some BS are well known for being strong in IB, finance, amonght other subjects, but oil & gas companies usually prefer some BS over others.

Warwick has a part-time program called Global Energy MBA, however it's not really focused on oil and gas.Sun Aug 30, 2009 09:07 PM www.wbs.ac.uk/students/mba/global-energy/ I don't think HEC has any energy-related courses (please double check), but it may open doors at Total SA, which is headquartered in Paris as well. Oil and gas companies like Insead. 10% of Insead MBAs are recruited by energy and petroleum companies (third largest sector): www.insead.edu/mba/meet_us/documents/MBA_2008_Empl… Don't know about the other schools you mentioned. |

Yes, I found out some oil&gas companies recruit at INSEAD (BP, Schlumberger) . Also, I review RSM in the Netherlands and some MBA graduates were being recruited by Shell and some others.Thu Sep 10, 2009 08:08 AM What about American BS? |

Either RICE univ or UT-Austin.Fri Dec 04, 2009 12:35 AM But I'd prefer RICE univ because of it's location in Houston. UT-austin has more global brand compared to RICE, but if you want to get a job in Houston, Better stay near it. Btw, I'm applying to both schools. |

Try Robert Gorden University or University of Aberdeen. Both of these universities are located in Aberdeen (Scotland) which is an oil rich city and the job prospects out here (especially oil and gas sector) is very good. Tue Dec 08, 2009 04:24 AM There are many threads in this forum on the above two universities. Look around :) |

These Energy management MBA reminds me of computer science degree craze in late 1990s Fri Dec 11, 2009 12:22 AM and financial engineering craze in early 2010. Seems that Universities are in race to create energy-related degree to win students (read: Money). Don't know whether it's a good or bad thing. |

I would strongly suggest you to look at RSM. Shell is a top player and a top recruiter at RSM. Moreover, RSM is greatly involved into fields like energy, green technologies and so on as it was recently ranked 7th worldwide in this specific topic!!
