By Maren[FIND MBA] in FIND MBA Blog on May 5, 2008
That's right, it's time for our look at the crazy world of MBA blogs. This week it's cats, cakes, mayors, newts, bacon, bananas, a Lama, Rings of Power, boy wizards, and a load of balls.
01. On May 1, the good burghers of ye Olde London Towne voted to see who would be their next mayor. Would it be the incumbent, champagne-socialist and reowned lizard-lover "Red" Ken Livingston, or would it be blond bombshell Boris de Pfeffel Johnson, author of Seventy-Two Virgins? Well, the results are in.
02. Ever wondered what 50,000 corporate-sponsored cupcakes arranged together would look like? Well, thanks to Tedward, an MBA student at the University of Maryland R. H. Smith School of Business, you don't have to wonder any more.
03. Unconventional Applicant, from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, continues his fascinating discussion of his experiences living in China.
04. Anyone for Quidditch? Mike Murphy reflects on his first year as an MBA student at Hogwarts - sorry, Virginia's Darden.
05. So it looks like this year's UEFA Champions League final is going to be a contest between the two richest clubs in the world, Chelsea and Manchester United. Of course, only one British club has won the title 5 times, and that's this lot.
