York - Schulich Launches MBA with Mining Specialization

Specialization aims to help students land jobs in the booming resource sector

Aug 14, 2012

This fall, York University's Schulich School of Business in Toronto will add a focus area in Global Mining Operations to its growing list of MBA specializations.

The specialization will give students an overview of responsible mining practices as well as add insight in related areas like energy policy and crisis management. Like with Schulich's other specializations, Global Mining Operations requires that MBA students take three required courses and one elective course.

According to a Schulich press release, the specialization aims to prepare graduates for the "many job opportunities that exist in mining companies globally as well as within the service-related mining sector companies."

For more information, please see the York - Schulich press release announcing the launch of the Global Mining Operations MBA specialization.
