University of Wyoming to Launch Energy-Related MBA ProgramsTwo new degree options leverage insights in traditional and alternative energy
Apr 9, 2012
The first option is an energy concentration that can be taken within the framework of UW's regular 16-month MBA program. In the concentration, students will take energy-related electives in their final semester.
The second option is a new 21-month long MBA in energy management. In this program, students will engage specialized coursework and work for a summer in an energy-related entreprise.
The coursework in the new energy-related MBA options will cover business aspects of both hydrocarbon-based (coal, gas, oil,) and alternative energy (solar, other renewables, nuclear) companies. In addition to delving into the legal framework surrounding the energy industry, students will also learn about production, marketing, and delivery, as they relate to energy companies.
