Harvard Introduces January Term Program; To Open Shanghai Facility
Both initiatives part of HBS plan to expand MBA study abroad opportunitiesJan 18, 2010
Harvard Business School (HBS) is introducing a "January Term" between the winter and fall semesters to give MBA students a chance to take small classes and seminars in subjects like negotiation, global trends, sustainable development, and healthcare. The expanded Immersion Experience Program (IXP) will also include opportunities to study abroad, in places like China, India, Peru, and Rwanda.The first January Term takes place this month. Around 400 first- and second-year MBA students are expected to participate.
The Financial Times is also reporting that HBS will open its first overseas study facility in Shanghai as part of a plan to expand the opportunities for MBA students to study abroad.
