Chicago GSB Renamed Booth School of Business

Alumni makes 300-million-dollar gift, biggest-ever donation to a b-school

Nov 11, 2008

What was formerly the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business (GSB) has been renamed The University of Chicago Booth School of Business following a 300 million-dollar donation from alumni David G. Booth and family. The school announced the donation and name change in early November.

According to the business school, the money will be used to attract and retain quality faculty, develop new programs, and expand existing research.
